The President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana H.E. Donald Rabindranauth Ramotar will pay an official visit to India from January 7-12, 2015. He will be the Chief Guest at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas being held in Gandhinagar, Gujrat on January 8-9, 2015.

Relations between India and Guyana are embedded in historical, cultural and traditional links. The presence of a large Indian diaspora in Guyana adds to the close relationship between the two countries.

While in India the visiting dignitary will meet Prime Minister of India, External Affairs Minister and other senior leaders.

The visit will contribute to further strengthening and deepening the close bilateral relations between India and Guyana.
