Microsoft to fully embrace Facebook for Windows 10
With Windows 10, Microsoft will completely embrace the Facebook social app. The company’s new SDK tool will help developers build universal apps with Facebook integration for Windows Phone 8.1, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. This will be inclusive of authorisation, likes, dialogs, the Graph and more.
“This means, users are more likely to see Facebook features in Windows 10 apps as soon as they’re released, whether using a tablet, phone or PC,” points out Engadget.
Microsoft writes in a blogpost, “If you are developing a universal Windows app for Windows Phone 8.1, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 and are currently using the Facebook .NET SDK, we recommend that you evaluate the new Windows SDK for Facebook for use in your app.”
Microsoft also asks users to submit their feedback in case users find any key features missing, they can ‘submit a feature request on the Windows SDK’.
The SDK can be found on GitHub.
